What is Spruce Pine Fir?

Spruce Pine Fir lumber (SPF), is a combination of the different species of Engelmann Spruce, Lodgepole Pine, and Subalpine Fir. Being a softwood, It is well known for its versatility and durability. You may see White, yellow, pale straw to light brown colors in the hue. Spruce Pine fir is soft, straight, even-grained, medium to fine-textured, and produces a lustrous finish. There is little difference between the heartwood and sapwood.
